About this website
About Oxcentric, Oxfordshire's website for young people
The Oxcentric website was created in consultation with hundreds of local young people. Participation and Play (part of Oxfordshire County Council) managed the consultation. One of the main aims of the project was making more information available to different ages.
For different age groups
One of the key things young people told us is that they wanted content to be aimed at their age group. Because of this we created two websites:
- Oxcentric, for older young people, and
- Boombox, for younger young people
Combining different websites
One of the other things young people told us is that they wanted to be able to find everything in one place. So Oxcentric combines tools and content from several different websites:
- Activities Oxfordshire
- Big Voice Oxfordshire
There is also content from the main Oxfordshire County Council website.
How to get involved
Though lots of young people have already been involved in the development of Oxcentric, this website is an ongoing project and we are seeking more young people to get involved. If you are interested in any of the following vacancies, please get in touch with Karin Cook .
