Funding is available from a brand new young-person led fund called the Positive Activities Fund (PAF) which aims to increase positive activities for young people across Oxfordshire, and additionally gives young people the power to decide how the funds should be spent.

PLEASE NOTE that all funds for the 2011-12 funding period have now been awarded, The next funding round begins in April 2012. You can register an interest and request a pack for 2012-13 by emailing rosie.boyes@oxfordshire.gov.uk

About the fund

This will be similar to the previous Youth Opportunities and Youth Capital Funds, but will be funded by Activities Oxfordshire.  Groups of young people can apply for up to a maximum of £6,000 per project, and bids need to submitted as soon as possible, as all funds must be spent by the end of March 2012.

The main aims of the Positive Activities Fund are to:

  • increase things to do and places to go for young people in Oxfordshire
  • improve the quality and diversity of activities available and the health and wellbeing of young people
  • increase young people’s engagement in the planning, development and delivery of activities/projects
  • provide opportunities for young people to develop their confidence, knowledge, skills and abilities
