South Oxfordshire Young Achievers Awards

South Oxfordshire District Council are keen to acknowledge young people who show dedication in citizenship, the arts or sports. They are offering 11 - 18 year olds living in South Oxfordshire the opportunity to receive an award of up to £250

Do you know someone who would be eligible to apply? Applicants should be:

• Aged 11-18
• Living in the South Oxfordshire distrtict area
• Outstanding in some way

What have you done to make you proud?

Young people may be eligible for an award if they can demonstrate high levels of commitment in one of these areas:

•  citizenship - for young people who show dedication to their community such as helping with community clean up projects,  volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary or getting involved in politics
• arts - for young people who can demonstrate high achievement in music, dance, drama, creative writing, painting, sculpture, photography, video production, multi-media or crafts
• sport for young people who have represented Oxfordshire (or higher) within the last yea 

Young people can apply online themselves for an arts or sports award.  However, citizenship awards are by nomination only.

Closing date soon

Please note that the closing date for nominations is October 28th, so please help South Oxfordshire District Council by getting the word out to as many young people as possible.
